WHO I AM

Sydney-born, Los Angeles-based composer and voice actor working in film, television, and interactive media.

Growing up in New South Wales, teachers throughout their primary and secondary schooling pushed Elyria toward composition early, an influence that shaped the research-driven approach they bring to every project. Rather than imposing a fixed aesthetic, they study the sonic world of each story they score, grounding their music in the cultural, historical, and emotional reality of the material. Their concert work earned second place in the SFCM Kris Getz Composition Competition with Svijet Tužan, a work for solo violin.

A 2024 graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Composition and Experimental Sound Practices focused in Film and TV Composition, they have trained across leading programs including summer intensives at NYU Steinhardt and the Boston Conservatory, and the SFCM Pre-College Program. A classically trained pianist who also performs on trombone, French horn, and guitar, Elyria trained as a voice actor in their final two years at CalArts and has since produced reels professionally and taught voice acting at CalArts and privately.
